High-density graphite
Dense, machinable graphite for precision parts and industrial blocks
High-density graphite is synthetic graphite with high apparent density, controlled grain, and good machinability. It is supplied as blocks, plates, cylinders, discs, and rings, and machined to drawing when needed.
It is used for crucibles, molds (sintering, glass, jewelry, exothermic welding), dies, continuous-casting components, and parts that need dimensional stability under temperature and load. Typical density 1.78–1.90 g/cm³; grade is confirmed by application.
It is also known as isostatic, isomolded, molded, or vibration-molded graphite according to the consolidation technique.

Typical applications for this family.
Foundry cruciblesGraphite crucibles for containing and melting metals in foundry and laboratory use.
Sintering moldsThey allow the compaction and formation of metal parts through sintering processes.
Extrusion die lubricationReduces friction and wear on dies used to mold materials in extrusion processes.
Continuous-casting componentsGraphite components for channels, nozzles and plates in continuous metal casting processes.
Foundry degassing lancesGraphite lances and fluxing tubes are used in the foundry industry to inject gases into the bottom of molten material.
Foundry stirring barsGraphite stirrer bars, thanks to their resistance to chemical attack and impact, are used in molten metal handling.
Electrical contactsImproves electrical conductivity and reduces wear in electrical contact systems.
Plastics lubricant additiveImproves the sliding properties of plastics in industrial applications.
