Clean lubrication for paper and textile

Graphite lubrication on paper and textile equipment, to reduce sticking and ease cleaning, without sticky residue.

Soluble or dry lubrication without sticky residue

Also known as: Graphite lubricant for paper mills · Clean lubrication for textile · Washable anti-stick for rollers · Wax-free lubricant for paper lines

Washable or dry graphite lubrication for paper and textile equipment.

[ Technical summary ]

In paper and textile, a greasy lubricant stains the product and attracts fiber. A film that reduces friction and can be cleaned is required. Graphite in a soluble solid or dry-film format covers rollers and guides without sticky wax. The stain requirement is set by the line. Compatibility with every process bath is not claimed.

Each process needs a specific product and application method. ESGRAF selects the solution according to temperature, material, load, cycle, and application method.

[ Problem it solves ]

Lubricate paper and textile equipment without greasy residue that stains the product or attracts fiber.

Processes

  • Paper or textile production
  • Roller and guide lubrication

Operating conditions

  • Presence of fiber or process moisture
  • Line-cleaning requirement

When it is suitable

  • Grease stains the product or attracts fiber
  • There is sticking on rollers or guides
  • The plant requires a washable or dry lubricant

When it may not be suitable

  • The product tolerates no black residue
  • The process bath is incompatible with graphite
  • The surface tolerates no black residue and there will be no cleaning stage

Process challenges

  • Product staining
  • Fiber stuck to the lubricant
  • Line cleaning

Advantages

  • Less sticky residue than waxes and greases
  • Eases cleaning when the format is soluble
  • Reduces sticking on rollers and guides

Limitations

  • May leave black residue if over-applied
  • Does not claim compatibility with every bath
  • The plant chooses the format
