**High-density graphite** is technical graphite bought as a single family for precision parts, industrial blocks, EDM electrodes and CNC machining: the specific process — isostatic / isomolded, molded or vibration-molded — is chosen by part size, volume, isotropy and tolerance, not as separate catalogs.

The **typical ranges** in the technical panel reflect the reference isostatic grade (≥1.78 g/cm³); molded and vibration-molded sit in lower bands (see below). The exact value is confirmed at quote according to the application.

## Isostatic graphite (isomolded)

Synthetic graphite obtained by cold isostatic pressing (CIP) and graphitization. Fine grain (4–25 µm), near-isotropic properties and excellent machinability for **EDM**, vacuum crucibles, semiconductors and precision CNC parts.

## Molded graphite

Produced by cold molding and sintering/graphitization. Typical formats: **blocks, discs and rings** for crucibles, nozzles, refractories and large electrodes when the fine grain of isostatic graphite is not critical. Die-molding reference: SGL **HMR** (wheel molds; ~1.65 g/cm³, 0.8 mm grain).

## Vibration-molded graphite

Consolidated by vibration and particle-size compaction. Intended for **large blocks**, large-format electrodes and crucibles when the fine grain of isostatic graphite is not required.

## Glossary — isostatic vs isomolded

On the shop floor and in Mexican specifications, **isostatic graphite** and **isomolded graphite** are usually commercial synonyms for the same fine-grain CIP material. Commercial grades, impregnations and supply formats are specified on this datasheet and at quote.
