## Carbon-graphite family

**Mechanical carbon-graphite** is the sliding material for seals, bushings, vanes, and friction faces when you need self-lubrication, chemical resistance, and thermal stability — dry or in demanding fluids.

Within the same family there are **base** grades and **impregnated** grades. Impregnation (resin, metal, or others) closes porosity, improves sealing, or raises wear life and conductivity depending on duty. The exact grade is confirmed at quote against load, speed, counterface, atmosphere, and temperature.

| Type | Typical role |
| --- | --- |
| Base grade | Dry friction, seals, and bushings in general service |
| Resin impregnation | Lower porosity and better sealing |
| Metal impregnation | Higher conductivity and wear resistance |
| Other impregnations | Corrosion, oxidation, or special duty |

Forms: blocks, plates, rings, and machined parts. Inventory and CNC in García, N.L.

## Resin impregnation

Vacuum resin impregnation reduces open porosity and improves sealing versus a base grade. Prefer for mechanical seals, bearings, and parts that need low porosity or more controlled friction.

## Metal impregnation

Metal impregnation raises density, conductivity, and wear resistance. Prefer when friction life, electrical contacts, or heavier duty matter more than resin or base grades.
