## Flexible insulation

**Soft felt** is a flexible carbon/graphite fiber felt used as thermal insulation in vacuum furnaces and inert atmospheres, supplied in rolls and sheets. Being conformable, it can be wrapped, layered or cut to line curved and irregular hot zones.

It offers excellent chemical resistance and remains stable under vacuum up to 2500°C, which suits it to heat-treatment furnaces and controlled-atmosphere processes. Available in PAN and rayon fiber grades.

## Typical applications

- Hot-zone liners in vacuum and inert-atmosphere furnaces.
- Flexible thermal insulation for furnaces and heat-treatment equipment.
